In my Florida divorce case what are the alternatives to going to court?
There are three main ways that you can go through a divorce without going to court. One is to just negotiate a settlement between the parties or between their attorneys. Another way is to go to mediation and resolve the issues by use of a mediator, who’s an unaffected third party whose job it is to help you try to negotiate an agreement. The third way that’s becoming more and more popular now is collaborative divorce process. Many attorneys, especially experienced attorneys in divorce litigation, are using collaborative law, and it’s a way to come together and try to resolve the issues in a divorce in a problem solving approach rather than an adversarial approach.
