What happens if I’m accused of domestic violence?
Domestic violence is serious because it can be considered when the court deals with issues having to do with time sharing and parental responsibility. If you’re accused of domestic violence by virtue of a domestic violence injunction, you’re entitled to have a defense to that and represent your defense and have the injunction not be entered. But even if there is no domestic violence injunction, an accusation of that kind of behavior can seriously affect your ability to have parenting time with your children.
